WITH the National League AGM now done and dusted and the points limit officially set, team manager Josh Moss has started to put together his team for the 2018 campaign and is pleased to welcome Buxton’s first signing Lewis Whitmore to Hi-Edge raceway for the 2018 season.

Whitmore, 17, is a former 250cc British Youth Champion and has rode for the King’s Lynn Young Stars who pulled out of the National League mid-season this year resulting in the youngster joining Mildenhall as number eight as well as taking numerous guest bookings throughout the season and will join the Hitmen in 2018 on a 3-point average.

Moss commented “I’m very happy that Lewis has come on board, he is a rider with a lot of promise and I’m hoping that he will thrive at Buxton in the new season. The negotiations were completed very quickly, and Lewis was a pleasure to deal with and that’s always a good sign and I look forward to working with him throughout the 2018 campaign.”

On signing for the Hitmen Lewis Whitmore said “I am really looking forward to joining Buxton next season. The club is a great family run club and I cannot wait to be part of a team again.

Whitmore continued “2017 was not a good year for me personally as the King’s Lynn Young Stars withdrew from the National League and I was also carrying injuries whilst taking guest bookings, so I was delighted when Josh (Moss) offered me a team spot for 2018, I feel this move will be good for me and I cannot wait to meet up with the supporters and everyone involved with the club.”
