BUXTON have completed their line-up for the 2018 campaign starting next month with the signing of talented youngster Corban Pavitt.

Pavitt has been improving each year on the bike and recently travelled to the Isle of Wight to link up with the young Lions for their training camp and received some good training and advice from Belle Vue and Great Britain international Steve Worrall and former Great Britain international Paul Hurry.

Youngster Pavitt commented “This is a big opportunity for me and I’m looking to take it with both hands. It will be my first season on 500’s and I will be looking to learn with every lap and take advice from people higher in the team like Ben Wilson and Connor Coles and hopefully I can score a few points for the team and make an improvement no matter how large or small on my starting average and I’m really looking forward to the challenge at Buxton this year.”

Hitmen team manager Joshua Moss said “Corban is making a big step up to the National League and is a rider who has people speaking about him and as they say there is no smoke without fire. Corban has a hard role to start with but he knows our expectations of him and he is keen to get going which is refreshing as other experienced riders were not keen and had placed obstacles in their own way but both Corban and his family are keen and that’s all we can ask for.”
