BUXTON have a 26-point deficit to pull back as they take on the Belle Vue Colts in the National League KO Cup 2nd leg tie at Hi-Edge Raceway on Sunday afternoon, 3pm.

The Hitmen crashed to a 58-32 defeat at the National Speedway Stadium despite putting up a spirited display and they will need to be at their very best to pull off an aggregate victory over last seasons’ National League Champions. Team manager Josh Moss said “It’s only half-time in the tie and there are still fifteen important races to complete and if we can get a couple of early heat advantages then we can hopefully build on that. Yes, I accept it is going to be a very difficult task but we will be doing everything we can to try and pull the points back.”

The Hitmen are unchanged for the meeting while the Colts welcome back Jack Smith who missed the first leg due to riding in the Championship with Sheffield. The Colts have a strong top end to their team in Tom Perry, Jack Smith and Kyle Bickley while they also receive good support from Joe Lawlor who has started the season impressively with former Hitman Paul Bowen completing the top five. At reserve Ben Woodhull who has started and season well and rode for Buxton last season joins Kean Dicken at reserve.
