BUXTON welcome the Coventry Bees’ to Hi-Edge raceway (3pm) on Sunday afternoon as the two sides look to gain valuable league points.

The Hitmen put in a creditable display at Perry Barr on Wednesday night and will be looking to push on and gain their first league points of the season against the Bees’. Buxton welcome back Ben Wilson for the meeting after he missed the defeat at Birmingham due to work commitments while Sam Woolley deputises for Kieron Douglas who has food poisoning and they continue to use rider replacement for James Cockle.

The Bees’ will be missing Hi-Edge track specialist and former Hitmen Jon Armstrong and use rider replacement to cover for his absence. Stoke’s Rob Shuttleworth comes in as a guest for Connor Mountain at number one for the Bees’ and he is well supported by Danny Phillips who has improved as the season has gone on after missing most of last season due to injury while Luke Ruddick and Jamie Halder complete the top five. Luke Harris and Ryan MacDonald complete the Bees’ line-up.

Buxton team manager Joshua Moss said “It will be a difficult meeting but one I’m hoping we can push Coventry all the way. They are missing Connor Mountain who is in very good form this season and he’s replaced by Rob Shuttleworth and then our former skipper and track record holder here Jon Armstrong is missing so it does slightly make them weaker than they might have been and hopefully we can take advantage.”
