BUXTON are back in Travel Plus National League action on Sunday afternoon (3pm) when they host the Isle of Wight Warriors at Hi-Edge Raceway.

Lewis Whitmore is injured for the Hitmen and will use rider replacement to cover for his absence while former Buxton rider Max Clegg comes in as a guest for James Cockle.

Hitmen team manager Joshua Moss commented “While this is a difficult meeting with the likes of Alfie Bowtell and Ben Morley spearheading the Warriors they may well cause problems but I do feel this is a meeting we are capable of winning which would give the club such a boost. Both sides are on a level playing field which hasn’t always been the case in other matches and we will work hard to hopefully gain our first meeting of the season.”

The Warriors have a formidable top two in Alfie Bowtell who was immaculate for Cradley when he earlier in the season and Ben Morley who also performs well. Danno Verge and Chris Widman provide back up for the top two as the Isle of Wight use rider replacement to cover for Scott Campos. At reserve the Warriors use former Stoke rider Shaun Tedham while Dale Lamb completes the Warriors septet.
