HITMEN v COVENTRY - PREVIEW

Saturday September 15, 2018
THE second meeting on at Hi-Edge Raceway sees’ the Hitmen take on Coventry who are also chasing an end of season play-off place.

Victory over Birmingham and Stoke last Sunday saw the Bees’ drag themselves back into play-off contention and the Bees’ management were quickly on to the Hitmen promotion in order to attempt to bring the Bees’ to Derbyshire before the cut-off date next Sunday, (23 Sept).

Stoke rider Max Clegg switches race jackets for this meeting as he leads the Coventry septet into action as he replaces he injured Connor Mountain and he will gain solid backing from former Buxton rider and legend Jon Armstrong along with Danny Phillips who has been scoring well in his last few meetings. Luke Ruddick and Jamie Halder complete the top five with Luke Harris who has proven to be a trump card at reserve in the last couple of meetings and Ryan MacDonald complete the Midlands club line-up

Team manager Joshua Moss commented “We will have had a meeting under our belts so hopefully we can get off to a good start against Coventry and get in them before they get warmed up and used to the track. If we are able to then who knows what can happen and we can maybe push them all the way and cause an upset.”
